Story:
Half Man. Half Machine. All Hers.

Rage, the Humanoid Alliance's most primitive cyborg, has two goals--kill all of the humans on his battle station and escape to the Homeland. The warrior has seen the darkness in others and in himself. He believes that's all he's been programmed to experience.

Until he meets Joan.

Joan, the battle station's first female engineer, has one goal--survive long enough to help the big sexy cyborg plotting to kill her. Rage might not trust her but he wants her. She sees the passion in his eyes, the caring in his battle-worn hands, the gruff emotion in his voice.

When Joan survives the unthinkable, Rage's priorities are tested. Is there enough room in this cyborg's heart for both love and revenge?

This is a great cover that fits well with the story. I love it!

Review:
This is not a book for everyone. If you love dark romance/science fiction with a lot of graphic sex and action, then this is a book for you. Cynthia creates a tragic world in her book - for the cyborgs. They are considered nothing more but deadly killer machines and the humans don't care the slightest about how the cyborgs are treated. It is a male dominated world with primitive thinking humans. This book shows humanities worst sides, and poor Joan is in the middle of it all. She is the only woman among men, and they do everything they can to push her down. But when she is assigned to take care of a cyborg as an engineer everything changes. Rage is deadly, dangerous, and no one thinks she will survive being near him, but Joan will do everything in her power to gain Rage's trust.

I loved this book from the first page. I would have read it from the beginning to the end if I hadn't had my work and house to take care of. This book made me feel. I laughed, cried, and cheered with the characters. This is a book I will read several times. It was well written with fantastic characters and an interesting story, but as already mentioned, it's not a book for everyone. The story is dark, evil, and a few times, things seemed hopeless, but fortunately, there was a happy ending. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
